Field Trip 06:End to Start
The first phase of the field trip has come to an end. For us , it is important to walk through these by our feet. Only by doing so, we could gain enough knowledge about the water issue, and to communicate to others.
The biggest gain was that we broke the stereotypes about water pollution. Those terrifying headlines we saw on the news were mostly for dragging attention.
Those headlines became labels that affected the way we viewed issues in the past. After in-depth visits and some interviews, it was discovered that there were many stories under the labels. Not only different voices from different groups, but also the efforts made to improve the environment. We should discuss the environment in different aspects.
People all work hard towards what they believe in as different roles. Some work for a good harvest. Some are seeking highest efficiency to boost the economy. Of course, some of them need to be condemned, but there are also people who need encouragement.
People usually stand on opposite sides and blame each other when they are pursuing different things. How could we take a step in it and not just be the person behind the screen? We hope this project could start a conversation on that.
